Saint Grey - Opening Night - HUGE Success

Saint Grey - Opening Night - HUGE Success

SO our night began with a cold drink while waiting for Elliott to arrive.

Thanks to a toothache Elliott had to go to emergency in Launceston before arriving - a little late but a great entrance none the less!

Elliott and Brad transformed the boutique into and amazing pop up gallery - one with a severe toothache and the other with tonsilitis - clearly the show must go on!

Darren Briggs a local Greens candidate did the honour of introducing the exhibition. We were hoping Darren would speak on behalf of Hoomans Helping Hounds, but no Jo got up to speak. Jo kept it brief, explained how she stalked Elliott on Instagram with Hoomans Helping Hounds becoming a major sponsor of the tour, eventually deciding to host at the boutique, then organising how it would all come together and funding the exhibition. Jo thanked Elliott for trusting us with his amazing artwork and will be hosting the artworks in the boutique for those who want to come see it,

We had several 4 legged guests who were amazing and enjoyed themselves - with Bella Bean loving the smell of the BICH Juicy Pale ale.

We have several businesses to thank for supporting the exhibition and donating for the raffle - which we raised over $500 which will support Elliott and his national tour.

Our biggest thank thank you goes to Tasfreight who supplied the fruit crate and carefully transported the artworks from Melbourne to their depot here in Latrobe TAS.

Elliott Fox wrote : Opening night was a big success! Shearwater is a much smaller location compared to the earlier exhibitions, but we still had more than 30 guests and eight greyhounds and greyhound cousins (a whippet and iggy)!

Not too shabby considering Sydney got 100 people : we hoomans were pretty chuffed!

We are looking forward to the close out of the exhibition, not for it to leave, but Elliott will be at the shop again to do more meet and greets.
